I am a seeker of experiences, an alchemist, and a healer.
I am forever a student and an empath.
For 10 years I had been working as a creative designer in the fast-paced New York City advertising/PR space. Fortune 500 clients, aggressive startups, and cubicles in agencies were all I knew. Then, in 2017, I decided to quit it all to pursue holistic health seriously.
Then in 2014, while working at Weber Shandwick, I felt drawn to an Herbalism class at the New York Open Center. This was where I learned how to tap into the wisdom of the plants. Without knowing it, I had taken the first step on my self-healing journey—I was drinking nettles and lemon balm infusions every day at work. I didn’t even recognize myself! But I was hooked.
The seeker in me craved more knowledge about how to be in charge of my own health, so I started investigating the sources of my food. I found out about sustainable farming, which led me to spend a couple of weeks at a biodynamic farm with a group of like-minded women.
It was through my curiosity and exploration of health and wellness that I found Ayurveda, an ancient Indian system of traditional medicine. Finding it gave me a new community, a fresh perspective, and a deeper understanding of how to connect with nature, my environment, and other people. I’d finally found what I was missing before.
Because Ayurveda resonated with every part of my being, I pursued a 750-hour Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor program at the Kerala Academy. From there, I dedicated the summer of 2017 to an intensive Marma Chikitsā therapy program in Albuquerque, New Mexico with Dr. Lad. He inspired me to further my Ayurvedic education. In November of 2017, I went to India to study with him at the Vasanta Institute of Ayurveda.
I thank you for giving me this opportunity to serve you.
