Jenny offers a unique blend of physical therapy skills and alternative healing techniques and has a passion for preventative physical wellness.
She earned a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2010 and is a California licensed physical therapist. She has traveled across the country gaining experience in various settings, with a brief stint as a fashion stylist in NYC. Regardless of clinical setting, she always felt she was working backwards in treating injuries versus preventing them.
She has also discovered what a profound impact emotional and physical traumas, even seemingly small and insignificant negative experiences, can have on our bodies. In treating clients individually through CranioSacral therapy, bodywork and other healing modalities, she has found her niche. Using light touch she facilitates the release of those traumas in an often unaddressed physiological system, in addition to assessing muscle and movement patterns, to allow improved alignment and function
Initial Integrative Physical Therapy Session
Unblocking of physical and emotional restrictions using CranioSacral and Meridian therapies, Myofascial and trigger point energetic release techniques to achieve optimal alignment and function. Learn self-release and mindful daily movements to use your body more efficiently.
All sessions begin with an assessment of your posture and alignment in standing, followed by checking into your CranioSacral rhythm and neuromuscular activation lying on your back. I typically focus on the core and hips/pelvis to start as everything stems from here. Although if you have a specific area of focus that will also be addressed. The sessions require comfortable clothing and all techniques can be performed over your clothes.
I use gentle healing and bodywork modalities to bring structures into alignment, release muscles, scar tissue and meridians. The release work is all light touch, but does facilitate a deep release into the tissues. It's a very relaxing experience and many clients fall asleep during treatment as the nervous system resets.
