LIBRA TAROTSCOPE: How To Make Friends and Influence People

Happy birthday, Libra babies!

We adore you and your genial ways. This month, our resident Tarot reader Helen Schmidt channeled the Holisticism crew, posed a q, and pulled a card to guide us through the next astrological transit. Because affable Libra can work their way out of any disagreement, this month’s Tarotscope reveals how we can more civilly dialogue with the people in our lives—even Aries! (Kidding! No I’m not! Yes I am!)

Keep scrolling for the full reading from Helen, plus how you can pull your own #diytarotscope this month. Share your spread with us on Instagram by tagging @holisticism and #diytarotscope for a chance to be featured!

LIBRA

Libra is a cardinal air sign. It rules beauty, partnerships, and the law. Libras tend to have the politically correct answer to everything. As an air sign, Libra rules the mind. People born under this sign to be very rational in their arguments. Which, when it comes down to it, makes Libras win any disagreement, like... all of the time *with a sweet gentle eye-roll*.

The Sun moved into Libra on Sept 22nd. Time to put on our princess crowns and wave a hello to diplomacy.

HOLISTICISM CARD PULL

During this Libra season, I feel it’s really important for us to tap into how we relate to others on a one-on-one basis. It’s our job to reflect (and possibly improve) on how we handle difficult situations with people, improve our ability to think about where the other person is coming from, and learn to find a genuinely balanced compromises. Carrying over this theme let’s see what the Tarot would like to weigh in on when it comes to refining our diplomatic skills this season.

7 of Wands

The card that came up was the 7 of Wands. No kidding, just like Virgo season, we have a repeat card almost six months later. To refresh your mind, my theory on repeat cards means to check back on any notes on what that card meant when it last came up. It last came up in Scorpio Season, right here.

In Scorpio Season of 2017, 7 of Wands was our guide on what to release. We needed to shed our doubts in our creations and to learn to confidently be the first person to believe in ourselves. Check back during Scorpio Season (next month!) to see how much progress you’ve made with this. You’ll also need the similar skill sets for refining your diplomatic skills during Libra Season.

7 of Wands in Libra Season wants us to believe in ourselves, but in a different way than in Scorpio Season. Since the card is in relation to working with people, it wants us to believe in ourselves using our views and values as a gauge while we manage difficult situations, create social solutions, and make balanced compromises.

Trust our initial feels to any situation than following through on it grace and confidence. It can be really easy to just agree to disagree to avoid any agreement, although, just remember that won’t give anyone a sustainable solution.

#DIYTAROT for LIBRA SEASON

This DIY Libra Season Tarot Spread will require both parties to be open to negotiating through the Tarot. I’ve done this before and it can be really effective not to mention really objective. So grab your partner, your mom, your roommate, your dog—anyone you’re not quite seeing eye-to-eye with—and sit them down for a 3-minute spread.

  1. Write down what your needs are and what the other party’s needs are. If any, make note and be clear on any disagreements on the situation.

  2. Burn Palo Santo to clear the energy from the deck. Sit comfortably with your deck, holding onto them with both hands. Close your eyes. Say out loud the following:

Hi Tarot. The channel is open between you, [your name], and [other party’s name]. We are ready for your divine guidance around how to find the best solution for our highest good in this situation.

  3. Each person should shuffle the cards for one full minute. Try to keep your eyes closed the entire time.

  4. When you’re done shuffling, fan the cards out in a crescent moon shape.

  5. We want to create space for both parties, so each person should pull a card. Whatever card was pulled represents that person’s energy in the situation. Look to see how these cards work together (or don’t work together). Make note on how each person relates to each card singularly and all together.

  6. Next, ask the Tarot:

What is the most diplomatic solution to our situation?

  7. Then, pull a card. This card will give you an idea on the best course of action you both should make to find a solution that serves both of your highest good.

  8. At the end of the reading, close the Tarot channel. Gather all of your cards, hold onto them with both hands again while you sit comfortably. Say out loud:

Thank you Tarot for your guidance and wisdom. The channel between you, [your name], [your party’s name] is closed.
