FULL MOON IN TAURUS: HAUNTED LOVE

This full moon in the sign of Taurus is spooky and lovely. It lights up the Taurus-Scorpio axis, an axis that's all about beauty and the world of forms (Taurus) and what's under that world (Scorpio). It's also happening on Halloween in Taurus, a Venus-ruled sign. Venus and Mercury Retrograde are in Libra, the other Venus-ruled sign. Haunted love. It also makes me think of Dracula.

Halloween's kind of about hauntings. So is Mercury retrograde. We get access to new information, old memories returned to us fresher, weirder, more intriguing. The moon's lighting everything up -- mind and hearts on fire with memories, dreams, old love, new love, weird love.

The full moon's a chance to pay attention differently, Mercury Rx and the white-hot light of a full Venusian moon grant us a special kind of access, attentiveness.

QUESTIONS FOR THE MOON:

How is attention a form of love?

What does the body, when it's attentive, look, and feel like?

What memories are you receiving on or near this full moon?

Make a list of intriguing bodily sensations, memories, songs that get caught in your head, anything that haunts you for better or worse, in the days leading up to the full moon. Don't think too hard. Taurus is earthy, embodied, sensuous.

On the full moon night, glance at the list.

What do you make of it?

What connections can be made?

What can you keep and what can you get rid of?

Again, don't think too hard!

What are you tired of being haunted by?

Rip the list to shreds after you've kept what you want.

Toss the remnants. Burn it. Whatever. Exhale. Then watch Dracula.

JK, kind of.
