I run a capitalism-critical business where I'm trying to divest from the problematic aspects of capitalism, but we still exist in this world and on this plane. And that means we need to be really thoughtful about every choice that we make and we're really prioritizing longevity. — Michelle Pellizzon
Investing in yourself, isn't a substitute for growing and experimenting. Throwing money at a problem by investing in a coach, but not applying the work, isn' going to get you very far. - Michelle Pellizzon
If you can afford coaching and support, it can make it faster and easier, but it doesn't make you better. You can still learn things by being absolutely voracious, and by taking everything in and applying it. The magic is in the application, it's in the action. And sometimes being in community is what gets us in action. - Michelle Pellizzon
We don't have to have the entire roadmap planned out, we just need to know the next best step.
We care more about longevity than exponential growth for exponential growth's sake. We care about humanness and also keeping the magic of this amazing sacred space that we've created together.
I think that this is the struggle that so many intuitive business entrepreneurs run into is, they want to give so much and be in service, but they put themselves last. A business that is capitalism critical is focusing on longevity and care, and making sure that people's needs are met, and doing that in a boundaried healthy way which doesn't de-prioritize our own needs and acknowledges the humanness of everyone involved.
“If we can be in the same room and share these trade secrets together, we can all do this. This doesn't have to be the non-traditional, weird way of doing business. It can be the future of doing business.” – Michelle Pellizzon

Show Notes
[0:00:01] Podcast begins.
[0:00:23] We are transitioning into our summer program, where we're diving deep on a bunch of topics, starting with manifestation. You'll hear more about that on Friday with Michelle and Wallis.
[0:00:57] The doors are now open to the North Node!
[0:02:13] Part of the magic of the North Node is showing our trade secrets so that we can all be successful!
[0:02:43] “My big dream is to teach hundreds and thousands of people how to run intuitive businesses that support their communities and support themselves, and my small step to doing that is through the North Node. I was inspired to create this because it was something I desperately needed.” – Michelle Pellizzon
[0:03:00] The North Node, when it first started, was a traditional, typical intuitive entrepreneur archetypal journey: from Seeker to Detective, to Alchemist, to Advocate, and then finally Visionary.
[0:05:10] “The name Holisticism popped down as an idea in my brain after doing meditation every day for 30 days.” – Michelle Pellizzon
[0:06:04] “I thought it Holisticism would die a natural death, and I was okay with that. I wanted that; I wanted a reason for it to just go away. But it didn't; it just kept going.” – Michelle Pellizzon
[0:06:43] The only truth we need to know is who we are in any given moment, and what we believe. As long as we have our own internal compass, we don't need to know all of the world's knowledge.
[0:07:04] We don't have to have the entire roadmap planned out; we just need to know the next best step.
[0:10:13] “It took so much energy for me to try and be the most authentic version of myself, to be uncompromising in my values, that I almost couldn't do anything else. It took everything inside of me.” – Michelle Pellizzon
[0:11:39] “I wasn't alone. I saw amazing companies that were talking about proposals for the feminine economy. I saw incredible herbalists who are running businesses on sliding scale, and acupuncture clinics that were making their work super accessible. I knew I wasn't trying to do something that's impossible, but something that's really different than what's traditional.” – Michelle Pellizzon
[0:13:29] “Doing rituals when I launch a new product helps me so much. When I launch something on the quarter moon, my business does so much better.” – Michelle Pellizzon
[0:14:01] “If we can be in the same room and share these trade secrets together, we can all do this. This doesn't have to be the non-traditional, weird way of doing business. It can be the future of doing business.” – Michelle Pellizzon
[0:15:48] When you share your magic, it amplifies. It makes you more powerful.
[0:16:16] Most people don't make a ton of revenue because they're afraid of sales.
[0:17:19] There are three big components of the North Node, which we call the chain of success: Community, Content, and Coaching. When you join, you're basically joining what we call Intuitive Business School.
[0:20:24] Intuitive Archetype Journey: from the seeker to the detective, to the alchemist, the advocate, to the visionary, there's a set of milestones that you're going to check off.
[0:22:36] Community: People sharing what they learn. It's one thing to learn and experiment by yourself and to make mistakes. It is another incredibly valuable thing to learn from someone else's mistakes, someone who you respect's mistakes.
[0:23:58] Coaching: Uncrossing Calls is a 20-minute 1:1 with Michelle to go over whatever you’re struggling with. It gets posted to the community so everyone may learn from it. There’s also self-coaching through Future Visioning Sessions.
[0:24:54] North Node members get free access to The Cusp! They get tons of discounts and freebies.
[0:25:23] We run our whole business on sliding scale. It's been really challenging but really rewarding at the same time.
[0:29:54] The beautiful thing about sliding scale is that it's fluid. So when you have more, you can give more.
[0:30:36] We don’t just enable, we empower. And that is community care. That's the culture that we want to create.
[0:31:11] We're really prioritizing longevity, because it doesn't do anyone good if we burn out.
[0:32:22] It's so much more courageous to choose to see people as human and as magic than it is to view people as cogs in this machine that don't have souls or hearts.
[0:33:16] We decided to make a really hard choice as a team to cap the North Node at a certain number of members.
[0:34:47] The doors to North Node are closing on the 27th which is Sunday, or when we hit our max target of people – whichever comes first.
[0:38: 18] “It's really important that I take care of myself, and I take care of my team. And that, unfortunately, means that sometimes we have to disappoint people. But it also is such a powerful learning experience.” – Michelle Pellizzon

[0:40:13] Your income should not be a barrier to you expanding and learning and growing. If you apply what you’ve learned in these podcast episodes, especially the ones about intuitive business, you will see results.
[0:42:11] Trust yourself, trust where you're at, trust what your intuition is telling you!
[0:42:33] Podcast ends.
