[00:00:16] Today’s guest is Serita Fontanesi. She’s a healer, activist, Executive Director of Emerge Texas, Tarot reader, and an energy practitioner
[00:02:15] How can we create structure in our lives and in our businesses so that our conscious mind has more room to dive deep and not be constantly playing catch up and being distracted by staying busy and being disorganized
[00:05:05] There’s this young psychologist, Robert Johnson calls it the gold in our shadows. What is that gold that you are overlooking? We can overlook our gold by refusing to do subconscious work
[00:06:40] Serita introduced herself. Her astrological chart is Leo and Capricorn
[00:07:30] Serita is working at an organization called Emerge Texas. They recruit train, provide a network for democratic self-identified women running for office around the State of Texas
[00:30:35] Michelle’s question: Were you surprised by your ancestry results at all or was that kind of what you were expecting?
[00:37:16] Thais shares her experience of going on her trip to Ghan
[00:38:50] Michelle’s question: When you got your DNA result back, did you have a deeper connection to spirituality? Did that change your spiritual perspective?
[00:41:33] Serita thinks that her own spiritual journey and practice are like a hodgepodge of different origins or different modalities
[00:47:10] Closed practices are passed down orally or through experiences and spoken word
[00:57:00] Serita does the Tarot cards regularly for information and insights. Tarot doesn’t tell the future but it gives us options and potential outcomes based on the decisions we’re making, may it be good or bad
[01:06:10] Black women tend to have higher auto-immune disorders because it's stress-related
[01:18:30] Wallis question: How did Tarot, Reiki, and Akashic reading come to find you?
[01:22:15] Cranial sacral is a form of energy healing
[01:23:42] Reiki is another energy healing modality and it’s all about serving your highest good
[01:24:50] Serita preferred Reiki because it was easier for her to have boundaries. The thing with cranial-sacral is if you don’t have good emotional and energetic boundaries, you may experience what that person is experiencing on the table
[01:26:30] When Serita found Akashic records, she just immediately fell in love with the possibility and the ease
[01:39:44] Human brains are wired and built to solve problems, so we make problems for ourselves
[01:44:50] What’s hysterical is historical. We’re a logical, rational, intelligent person who’s moderately well-adjusted in this world
