Our brains love to compartmentalize and categorize anything that we can possibly see to keeps us safe. It’s how we operate in the world. But black or white thinking can also really prevent us from having a full experience of living in the messy, middle, and living in the gray, which is usually where the most interesting things and also the most true things exist. It’s where nuance, complexity and dimension lives.
