An Intuitive Approach to Sales With Non-Coercive Copywriting

Do you struggle with how to talk or write about your business? Are you secretly a lil’ afraid of sounding like a “girl boss”, too pushy, or using too much marketing-bro speak? Same.

In this episode, Michelle explores the concept of non-coercive marketing and how to sell and talk about your Sacred Work and business, without being sales-y.

Michelle covers:

  • the role of authenticity in the way we sell

  • what storytelling and non-coercive copywriting have in common

  • how to practice non-coercive copywriting in real-time and how to be persuasive without being manipulative

And more, ofc! 😉

If you have a business, if you’re an entrepreneur, people understand that you need to sell stuff in order to do what you do. So if you’re afraid of being salesy because you’re afraid of selling things in general, then might be something to mull over — What is my relationship to doing business in public?

With transparency comes honesty, which means that we’re not going to exaggerate and say, “oh yeah this works for everyone,” or “this is the best course that’s ever been created when it comes to copywriting.” Or we’re not gonna have misleading claims and promises like, “after you finish this you will make a million dollars a year with your hands tied behind your back with your eyes closed while you’re drinking a piña colada on the beach.” No! Remember, we get upgraded problems. We’re not solving all our problems.

You know copywriting is such a big concept and even saying it gets people scared, I think because of the salesy element that exists. But I also think it’s one of the most valuable tools that you can learn, especially if you don’t have a lot of money to spend at the beginning of your business.
