What Can an Astrologer Tell You?
Astrology is an art and a science — so depending on who you talk to, their interpretation of your chart and it’s relationship to what’s happening the sky will vary.
However, the stars do not compel — they impel. At the end of the day, you have free will. However, the stars do create an environment for things to happen in. For example, a full moon is an optimal time to cleanse and do deep work … but that doesn’t mean that you’ll always feel the need for a release during a full moon! It also doesn’t mean that you can’t do deep personal work at other times of the month — you totally can — it just means that it might feel easier to go through that process when the energy is more fertile.
Astrology CAN’T tell you:
Who you should date
If you’ll get the job (or not)
Exactly what you should do with your life
But astrology CAN tell you:
How you might approach relationships
What the best and worst possible outcome could look like if you do get the job
The areas of expertise or interest that could be a good place to start as you explore your life’s purpose
What Questions Can You Ask An Astrologer?
Every astrologer is different, but it’s nice to go into a session or appointment with some clear questions that you want more information about.
Across the board, professional astrologers look at your natal chart during your session. Your natal chart is a snapshot of the sky at the time you were born. It’s basically a map of your personal astrology and tells your astrologer things like your house and planetary placement.
After your astrologer looks that the broad strokes of your natal chart, they’ll know more about you on the whole. That’s important because everything in our natal chart is in relationship to something else. A good astrologer will never just pull out one aspect of your chart and look at it in isolation — they’ll always take into consideration your entire chart.
Once you’ve got an overview of your chart, you can ask more specific questions about things like your career trajectory, your compatibility in relationships, or if any road bumps may be in your future.
What You Need Before You Ask An Astrologer A Question
Before you book your appointment with an astrologer, make sure you’ve got your birth date, time, and place. You’ll need that to pull your natal chart and get the most accurate reading.
